Jag Dhaliwall works across Singapore, Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur, Manila, Bangkok and Hong Kong covering Private Equity clients comprising mega funds, pan-Asian funds and Southeast Asia-focused funds. He was formerly a private equity reporter with Bloomberg News where he made his name breaking some of the biggest M&A and corporate finance stories across in Asia.
During his 12 years as a reporter in Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Tokyo, including time spent at two other media groups, he cultivated a broad network of Private Equity executives, investment bankers and traders. Jag graduated from RMIT University, Australia, with an Honors degree in Accountancy. Jag, who hails from Asia’s food capital Kuala Lumpur, is a die-hard Tottenham Hotspur fan. He also loves dogs and interacting with people of all ages.
Will Tan leads the asset management and hedge fund practice and is active in Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. His clients range from startups and boutique funds to some of the largest investment managers in the world. Prior to executive search, he spent over a decade in sell-side roles including equity research and equity research supervisory in Asia and North America.
Will started his career with Salomon Smith Barney after graduating from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Economics (Magna Cum Laude).
A Singaporean, Will is a fan of FC Barcelona and the LA Lakers. He plays pick-up basketball regularly.
Nora manages market research and talent mapping in the areas of asset management and hedge funds across Asia. Her experience has been mostly in talent market research and executive search. Prior joining Principle Partners, Nora was an on-site APAC talent research and sourcing specialist at Google for business operations and strategy roles. She also has years of agency work experience, placing global talents with niche skills.
Nora holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Policy from Peking University and speaks fluent English and native Mandarin. Nora is passionate about using a systematic and data-driven approach to provide comprehensive and evolved search solution to her clients.
Norman Leung specialises in corporate and institutional banking and is leading the banking practice at Principle Partners. Prior to executive search, Norman spent several years as a consultant in leadership and organisation development working in the UK and Asia. He started his career in tennis coaching and worked with some of the top juniors in Europe and Australasia. He graduated from Swinburne University of Technology with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology and Psychophysiology and from University of Portsmouth Business School with a Postgraduate Diploma in Coaching and Development.
An Australian born Chinese, Norman enjoys traveling and the odd game of tennis.
Paulina Hatta specializes in Investment and Strategy roles. Her clients include private equity funds, family offices, corporates, and tech start-ups in Southeast Asia.
Paulina was previously an investment banking analyst in the Leveraged Finance group at Merrill Lynch (New York) and a Private Debt Analyst at Ares Management (New York). She received her MBA from INSEAD and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting from the Stern School of Business, NYU.
Indonesian by birth, Paulina enjoys travelling and sampling the world’s gins and wines. Pandas and dogs are her favorite animals.
